What is CardDAV?
CardDAV is an open internet standard (RFC 6352) for syncing and accessing contact data remotely. It's used by services like Nextcloud, Fastmail, iCloud, GMX, and many self-hosted solutions.
Do I need a specific server to use this app?
No โ any server that supports the CardDAV standard will work. Just enter your server URL, username, and password.
Can I edit contacts on the server from this app?
CC - CardDAV Contacts is a read-only viewer. To push changes to your CardDAV server, use Cloud Contacts which supports full CardDAV push sync.
My Nextcloud server uses a self-signed certificate. Will it work?
The app follows iOS standard TLS validation. Self-signed certs may require importing the CA certificate to your device first via a configuration profile.
